Our LIFE – in the moment

Today I downloaded the “writing 101” eBook. The first assignment is to write for 20 min. It doesn’t matter what it is or if it rambles or whatever… just write for 20 min. and then go ahead and publish it. Hum.. Should be interesting what comes to mind if nothing is on your mind? Let’s see brain what do you want to type? Something funny, something serious, something true or something made up? What mood are you in today? Kind of a neutral mood… The weather outside is gray but inside okay :-). Talked to my daughter this morning and that is always great. She is a busy baby delivery RN at the local hospital and is Mom to my 2 grandchildren and wife to my son-in-law. I work a Monday through Friday 8 hour job so communication between us is not always easy! When we do catch up it is always a welcome and enjoying part of my day. I guess therefor I am in a pretty good mood. It’s the weekend and I have it off so getting a few chores done too. Thanksgiving is coming up and it will be at my daughters. She has Thanksgiving every year and all of their friends come. It is one awesome time. Everyone brings something. It is like an open house with kids, dogs, friends and food galore!! They live on top of the mountain and it is absolutely beautiful. Looking out from their deck you can see into the valley below and the mountains in the background. One year it snowed for Thanksgiving (2010) but I’ll save that for my Thanksgiving day story :-). This year we will bring some wine (my job) and one of the turkey’s, gravy and a sausage stuffing along with a chocolate dessert ( my  partners job, as I have to work all week and he is actually a chef by trade!!) Yum… I can smell it, I can taste it and just can’t wait for Thursday!! This chocolate dessert he got from a magazine and looks amazing! It’s a cake cut into rounds with whipped cream on top and something in the middle too (I think)? Guess I’ll have to wait to find out. I’ll let you know, if I remember that is, in another post after Thursday :-). Getting close to my 20 min. here so hope everyone is having fun and enjoying getting ready for some family and friend fun for this wonderful Thanksgiving Day coming up this next week!
