Premio Dardos Award

I would like to say thank you butchcountry67 for nominating me for this award. I am deeply honored and humbled as I really do not consider myself a very good writer. I do find playful enjoyment with MaggieMae’s blog, I find writing my Mom’s stories and memories on her blog very rewarding and I love writing whatever comes to mind here, on this blog. I also enjoy reading other blogs and I am grateful for all the learning and inspiration I take from these blogs. Thanks again Butch and I pass this award to these 15 worthy bloggers (in no particular order) which includes the blog that nominated me:    (my nominator)

Newbie Blog Award 3rd week feature

Well let’s see. Last week’s feature was Maggie and bulldogs. She is all set now with her own blog already sharing stories and sharing links 🐶 Good girl Maggie Mae, Mama loves you :-)!!

Now for the 3rd week feature: this one is a bit more complex! The feature is my Mom… Let me back up just a bit. My Mom loved to write. Her biggest dream was to write and publish a novel. She would of loved WordPress. I know her life would have been typing away and glued to the computer. She never did get to publish but after her passing I found containers and files of different writings and pieces of this, pieces of that.. Well, it is now a dream of mine that someday I can make sense of her writings, put them together and write for her…  I am thinking of creating a blog just for this purpose, one that will allow her the honor of having a blog of her own. One, that if she was still here on earth, she would surly have!! Now she can write though me! I need to think a little bit more on this but that is the plan right now. So this 3rd week of the Newbie blog feature will encompass those ideas :-). I love you Mom and think of you everyday!! I miss you so much!! This I do for you :-).

To Buddy

Hi Buddy, Maggie Mae here. I heard all about you from my Mommy who heard it from your Mommy, Swoosieque, :-). (please click on Swoosieque to read Buddy’s emotional story) I was a rescued Dog too!! Aren’t we just the luckiest doggies in the world. I came to Mommy from a Bulldog rescue organization on the east coast of Florida called Adopt-A-Bull Rescue. Mommy came and adopted me over 5 years ago. We sure have a lot stories too!! Maybe someday we can share more of our stories? The rain and thunder and lightning scare me so will you show me how to be braver? Mommy and I did some moving too. We pulled a u-haul behind our car. Mommy drove and I was the co-pilot :-). See, I’ll bet we do have a lot stories to share!! Well, maybe someday soon we can talk again. I heard you are not feeling that well… I’m sorry Buddy I know what it’s like to be getting older. I have a lot of gray hair, my joints are sore and it’s just harder to get around. I’m not doing bad though and the Vet says I’m not in bad shape for an old girl :-). Sorry to hear about your diabetes and that it is making you feel so bad :-(. I will pray for you and hope that you will be able to tell me more of your wonderful stories!! Bye, for now Buddy.. it was so much fun to talk to you, slobbery kisses, Maggie Mae 🙂Maggie resized

Bulldogs, my 2nd week feature for the newbie blog award!!!

As I complete the first of 4 feature of the week, back to a healthy lifestyle, per the newbie blog award instructions, I must say it has not been an easy task this week. Many distractions and cravings for that yummy sugar!!! But the fight is going well and I will continue to consciously be aware of what goes into my body. Healthy lifestyle is part of my life now!!

Moving on to second of four, the feature for this week is Bulldogs. I know I have finally been able to get her blog back up and running and managed to pull off some posts as well. This week I will be paying more attention to her blog, to her and to rescue organizations and other bulldog information. Got to love those precious fur babies :-)!!

Enjoy the rest of your evening !!!

The Newbie Blog Award

I am honored and delighted to be nominated for this award. Thank you so much for this nomination Jiggle On Yes I am definitely a new blogger and learning new things all the time. I am finding so many interesting blogs and writings and thoughts and oh so many other things!!  Thank you for helping me and for picking my blog for this fine nomination. I graciously accept and look forward to oh so many more learning experiences as I make my way thought these beginning stages of blogging and the blogging community. Thank you again Jiggle On and may we continue to meet up with one another in our blogging journeys.

Let’s get down to the rules first, shall we?
•Answer the questions set by your nominating blogger
•Nominate FIVE bloggers who have not yet reached 30 posts on their blog or have less than five months of archived posts
•Ask six questions of your own for your nominees and your nominator to answer
•Choose ONE weekly feature to do and stick to it for a month or choose ONE monthly feature to do and stick to it for six months (or do both!)
•Add your FIVE bloggers to your feed immediately (if you haven’t already done so) and comment on their features
•Remember to tack it on to your sidebar so you don’t have to do a do-over (unless you want to)

So moving on to completion of the rules. My answers to your questions are:

1.) What is your favorite color and why?  My favorite color was green at one time but now it is purple. It was my Mom’s favorite color and I have come to realize how beautiful a color it really is. It seems to create a peaceful and loving aura. It adds a delicate touch to all things and it is a happy color. 🙂
2.) Tea or coffee?  Definitely coffee 🙂
3.) Do you have a hobby? If so, what is it.  No I guess I haven’t been able to get into anything lately as my life has been a bit hectic although I use to collect old post cards. Back some years ago, a friend introduced me to flea markets. That is where we did our searching for old post cards from the area we lived in. It was fun and I still have the collection.
4.) What do you look for in a friend? Warmth, sharing, trust, laughter and forever…
5.) What is your greatest fear? Dying The thought of leaving loved ones behind, missing the grandchildren growing up… the unknown… but I do trust in the higher power and have faith.
6.) What is your favorite holiday? I guess I would have to say Thanksgiving. This is a time when family and friends come together to share a meal and engage in great conversations and fond memories. It is a time of being thankful for the people in our life and the beauty that sounds us everyday. A day with family and friends is a very special time!

My nominees are:

1. Living Intentionally Simple

2. A Novice Writer

3. One Unicorn at a Time

4. Darly Lifestyle Blog

5. My Lonely Hours

I ask you the same 6 questions from above.

My Weekly Feature for a month : I think I will post, on every Sunday, an inspirational thought to follow for that coming week.
