Well 4 days into the New Year… hope everyone is having a good start to 2015. It has been a bit busy for me. The Best Western has been packed with skiers and visitors and we have all been putting in long hours, including working the holidays. Unfortunately a lot of the staff and guests have been sick so I too caught some of that and now get 2 days to rest up!!

Today we took the tree and Christmas decorations down and put the house back in order. I think I am back on track and can hopefully get back to some blog posting :-). Now it is time to relax so I can get better fast. I don’t normally get sick so hopefully I can spring back quickly!!

We got about 5 inches of snow over the last 2 days and are now expecting a stronger storm to start up tonight going through tomorrow and into Tuesday for about 8 or more inches… We will probably have at least a total of 13 inches or so here in the valley and a lot more up in the mountains and on the passes!! It is definitely winter in Montana!!

My morning view from my backyard !! It is just so breathtaking and I am feeling so blessed :-)!!

Except for how cold it is and the snow that is forecast to get here in the next day or two, it is an awesome place to live (of course the skiers and snow boarders will be praying for snow!!).

I am off to finish up some shopping as I have today off, so everyone enjoy your day, be safe and have fun!!!

Whitefish Pictures!!

Sorry it has taken so long to get these promised pictures up. I searched my personal picture file and really could not find any good pictures. I will have to go out and do that someday soon! In the mean time I have gotten some pictures off the internet. The Whitefish ski mountain opened Saturday and winter season is in full swing. The Christmas lights are up, the local downtown shops are gearing up for the Christmas events and holiday shoppers and cheer is everywhere!!

First let me start off by showing you where I live. Way up there in the northwest, almost into Canada. You can see where the white sign is pointing too…

Here is our wonderful Big Mountain Ski Resort, all 3,000 acres. My daughter and her family are looking forward to this season, in fact they were up on the Mountain on Sunday to help celebrate the start of this season’s fun.

This absolutely breath taking view is from downtown Whitefish looking up at Big Mountain!! Christmas decorations in full swing!!

This is Whitefish Lake. The locals even do a Penguin Plunge sometime in the middle of winter… Brrr!! Over 300 took the plunge February 8 2014

It truly is a beautiful area and I am blessed to be here. Maybe I will be able to snag some festive pictures as the days move closer to Christmas. I hope to get the time in somewhere?? For now, enjoy your day and live your life in the moment with passion, love and kindness :-).
