Whitefish Pictures!!

Sorry it has taken so long to get these promised pictures up. I searched my personal picture file and really could not find any good pictures. I will have to go out and do that someday soon! In the mean time I have gotten some pictures off the internet.  The Whitefish ski mountain opened Saturday and winter season is in full swing. The Christmas lights are up, the local downtown shops are gearing up for the Christmas events and holiday shoppers and cheer is everywhere!!

First let me start off by showing you where I live. Way up there in the northwest, almost into Canada. You can see where the white sign is pointing too…

we are here

Here is our wonderful Big Mountain Ski Resort, all 3,000 acres. My daughter and her family are looking forward to this season, in fact they were up on the Mountain on Sunday to help celebrate the start of this season’s fun.

It truly is a beautiful area and I am blessed to be here. Maybe I will be able to snag some festive pictures as the days move closer to Christmas. I hope to get the time in somewhere?? For now, enjoy your day and live your life in the moment with passion, love and kindness :-).

The Mountains!

Tomorrow is Thursday and we are expecting another snow storm. The skiers are rejoicing because the mountain’s opening day is this Saturday. Seems like this year has just passed so quickly! We have not been through a winter in the new house yet and now we have a garage!! Wohoo!!  It is absolutely fabulous not having to scrape frost or snow off the windows and the car starts so much easier… I am happy 🙂 At work, we are gearing up for the skiers. The hotel is usually completely booked and I am very busy. Skies, poles, lots of people and beer… let the good times roll!! It is party time!!!  The mountains of Montana are beautiful. There is such an unexplainable feeling about stepping out, looking up and gazing out over the land… where the mountains meet the sky. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! Whitefish has become quite the hot spot. Its downtown area is really cute with specialty shops and restaurants. There are parks and walking trails and plenty to do. There is a ski bus that picks up and drops off skiers downtown. It really is a great place to come and visit while enjoying all the area has to offer. Glacier National Park is only about 20 to 30 min away with all its trails and beauty of its own. I can see why people are attracted to this area. Gosh, the airport is only 15 min away, the train comes right into town and of course always your own car. My grandson is on the ski racing team so watching his races this year will be a big thing for me. It certainly is wonderful being next to family 🙂 Well, getting late and have to get up early so must say good night.

Have a great day tomorrow and remember to “live your life in the moment with passion, love and kindness”
