Newbie Blog Award 3rd week feature

Well let’s see. Last week’s feature was Maggie and bulldogs. She is all set now with her own blog already sharing stories and sharing links 🐶 Good girl Maggie Mae, Mama loves you :-)!!

Now for the 3rd week feature: this one is a bit more complex! The feature is my Mom… Let me back up just a bit. My Mom loved to write. Her biggest dream was to write and publish a novel. She would of loved WordPress. I know her life would have been typing away and glued to the computer. She never did get to publish but after her passing I found containers and files of different writings and pieces of this, pieces of that.. Well, it is now a dream of mine that someday I can make sense of her writings, put them together and write for her… I am thinking of creating a blog just for this purpose, one that will allow her the honor of having a blog of her own. One, that if she was still here on earth, she would surly have!! Now she can write though me! I need to think a little bit more on this but that is the plan right now. So this 3rd week of the Newbie blog feature will encompass those ideas :-). I love you Mom and think of you everyday!! I miss you so much!! This I do for you :-).

Hi Buddy, Maggie Mae here. I heard all about you from my Mommy who heard it from your Mommy, Swoosieque, :-). (please click on Swoosieque to read Buddy’s emotional story) I was a rescued Dog too!! Aren’t we just the luckiest doggies in the world. I came to Mommy from a Bulldog rescue organization on the east coast of Florida called Adopt-A-Bull Rescue. Mommy came and adopted me over 5 years ago. We sure have a lot stories too!! Maybe someday we can share more of our stories? The rain and thunder and lightning scare me so will you show me how to be braver? Mommy and I did some moving too. We pulled a u-haul behind our car. Mommy drove and I was the co-pilot :-). See, I’ll bet we do have a lot stories to share!! Well, maybe someday soon we can talk again. I heard you are not feeling that well… I’m sorry Buddy I know what it’s like to be getting older. I have a lot of gray hair, my joints are sore and it’s just harder to get around. I’m not doing bad though and the Vet says I’m not in bad shape for an old girl :-). Sorry to hear about your diabetes and that it is making you feel so bad :-(. I will pray for you and hope that you will be able to tell me more of your wonderful stories!! As I complete the first of 4 feature of the week, back to a healthy lifestyle, per the newbie blog award instructions, I must say it has not been an easy task this week. Many distractions and cravings for that yummy sugar!!! But the fight is going well and I will continue to consciously be aware of what goes into my body. Healthy lifestyle is part of my life now!!

Moving on to second of four, the feature for this week is Bulldogs. I know I have finally been able to get her blog back up and running and managed to pull off some posts as well. This week I will be paying more attention to her blog, to her and to rescue organizations and other bulldog information. Got to love those precious fur babies :-)!!

Back on the road to healthy, loose the sugar addiction!!

My feature of the week, in following the instructions for the Newbie Blog Award, is a healthy lifestyle. It is not an easy task to give up sugar. It is everywhere and in almost everything!!! But I must say that when I follow a healthy food plan I feel so much better and have a lot more energy!
